About Me

Hi I’m Mike Kormendy, and welcome to my website.

I am a Canadian-born software engineer and multidisciplinary designer living in Dallas Texas.

With over 20 years of experience in software engineering and visual communication, I have created and maintained numerous projects for many recognizable brands throughout the years.

For a more detailed glimpse of my work history you may download my resume.

I share an inclusive approach with software and design; I think it is important to be good at both and knowing the capabilities of one discipline can assist implementing the other.

In 2013 I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Dallas. I have taught continuing education web development courses at George Brown College and actively consult on software engineering and design strategies.

As the founder/creator of Downtown Soccer Toronto, I learned a lot about leadership and project management. By implementing a well-planned strategy, I was able to foster a league that exists for years to come. Now in its eleventh year, it boasts a roster of 250 members with spin-off leagues for indoor soccer as well as competitive and recreational club-teams.
